Going to Greece

Remember a while back when I said I realized I could go abroad next semester? Well, I have not been lazy about it. In fact, I’ve been quite busy, and now comes the payoff: I’ve been accepted to the College Year in Athens program! It’s newly affiliated with Reed, so they were quite excited to get my application, even late — I had my epiphany too late for most deadlines, actually. I will be studying Ancient and Modern Greek languages, and ancient art and architecture (think classes in the Acropolis), plus enjoying my first foray into Europe and my first time living in a big city. Omigod, I’m going to Greece!

AAAHHHH!!!! Congratulations!!! That is so full of awesomeness, I don’t even know what to do about it!! It’s going to be incredible, I wish I was going to Greece. And this means all the more that I have to see you (hopefully on more than one occasion) before you go, or I won’t get a chance for quite a while. Love.

I think your parents will need to come along to help you move into your room there or carry your luggage or something…! :-)
